Penryn Park Golf Club features very diverse landscape and architecture at its grounds. They have a beautiful tent - set up for wedding reception, vintage pool area, outdoors bar, patio bar, golf corse and beautiful gazebo overlooking the lake .
Inside the mansion of Penryn Park there are magical vintage rooms. Ball room, tea room , two bridal suits where you can get ready and a lovely bathroom in Alice in Wonderland style with bathtub that recently became popular at weddings.
These shoots featuring Joy Bridal Gowns and Quinns Blooms and Greenery Florals where created inside the magical mansion of Penryn Park. One of the models - Lauren ( the lady in pink dress and red hair) fell in love with the venue during this photo session and later when she got engaged she had her engagement photos done at the mansion as well and she chose Penryn as her wedding venue.You can see her unique engagement session here.
Getting Ready on the morning of Your Wedding Day at the Penryn Mansion
Inside the mansion rooms feel spacious and elegant. All white bridal suite or victorian wall paper and furniture. Black and white checkered bathroom marble, tall windows and ceilings. Every room has a little mystery and a story and makes you feel like you are in Downton Abbey ( at least thats how I feel in there).
Typically there are two rooms to get ready in. The bridal suite - has a refrigerator for champagne and pretty hooks for dresses, fireplace, mirrors, tall chairs for make up and some comfy vintage chairs. The room is right next to their famous bathroom with an awesome bathtub - this bathtub was the star of my styled shoot with Lauren.
Many different surfaces - like hardwood floors, rustic carpets and even marble are perfect for detail shots of brides accessories and other pretty little details.
The groom was getting ready in the room right next to the bridal suite and the final touches we did at the sitting room downstairs. The green wallpaper in that room worked perfectly with the aesthetic of the wedding. Green velvet, rustic gold and timeless blush and pink flowers. The light from these tall windows is perfect for elegant and timeless portraits for the groom. Portraits of the groomsmen gang we took just outside the mansion on the red brick path leading to the pool area. The turquoise water in the pool worked perfectly with groomsmen suites that had emerald green ties.
The ballroom - where Philip and Lauren had their wedding ceremony was decorated by a very talented florist - Stephanie from Garden of Aden. Candles and blush flowers decorated the elegant fireplace.
Unique Ceremony inside the Penryn Park mansion
Lauren and Philip chose to have their ceremony inside the mansion in the ballroom. They are the first couple ever to do that. They fit approximately 60 guests. This is an amazing experience for the guests - the ballroom has a unique atmosphere and many different opportunities for decorating.
Lauren and Phillip had their wedding ceremony performed by a family friend Donna Shultz. I included a list of wedding officiants in Cobourg and Port Hope below who I have worked with before and can confidently recommend.
Penryn park has amazing grounds that create timeless and most beautiful portraits. I always want to make sure that family portraits are set up well - these are such important pictures for the family that are framed and cherished forever. Just outside of Penryn Park next to the front entrance there is a perfect spot for photos or next to the white picket fence by the Billiard House ( the coordinators office in front of the main entrance of the mansion).
Inside the mansion the ballroom or a sitting room are also perfect for family portraits.
For the Bridal Party we did some confetti in front of the main entrance. The ladies portraits where taken in front of the mansion - the colours of the dresses and Lauren beautiful red hair matched perfectly with the red brick and greenery. The gentleman where photographed by the pool. There are many amazing spots at Penryn - a little forest, pool area, red brick path, the big beautiful tree in front of the Penryn, the golf corse.
Bride and Groom Portraits at Penryn Park outdoors and inside the mansion
Inside the mansion we photographed the bride and groom at the great staircase - there are a quite few different creative angles there. By the fireplace with candle light in the ballroom and in the black and white checkered bathroom. Every room and area inside the mansion is so different and offers a great variety for portraits.
